Chris Sellars
Corporate Finance Partner

Chris brings a broad range of experience to the corporate finance team. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and a period in Corporate Finance with a national practice, Chris spent time as Group Finance Director for a group of companies involved in Shipping, Freight forwarding, Outsourcing and printing.

Chris followed his time in industry with four years in the banking sector, the last two with an international bank funding corporate transactions.

Chris was named Dealmaker of the Year at the Insider South Yorkshire Dealmakers Dinner in June 2010.

Steve Bell
Corporate Finance Associate

Steve joined the corporate finance team in October 2008 bringing with him over 17 years of experience of working with SME businesses. He has joined Hart Shaw from the YFM Group, where he was an Investment Manager on the SYIF Capital and Development Funds, providing Venture Capital funding to SME businesses in South Yorkshire.

A qualified chartered accountant, prior to joining YFM Steve gained over eight years experience in Corporate Finance advising on a variety of M&A, fund raising, advisory and listed company transactions, in addition he has also worked for an early stage technology business that successfully raised £15m on AIM.

James Taylor
Corporate Finance Executive

James joined the corporate finance team in 2008 but originally joined Hart Shaw in 2005 within the business services department gaining experience on all financial aspects. James is a chartered certified accountant and is currently studying towards the ICAEW Corporate Finance Qualification.

James works with the Corporate Finance team on the large deal process and manages small to mid-market deals independently.

Matt Milnes
Corporate Finance Executive

Matt joined the corporate finance team in late 2008 after qualifying as a chartered accountant. Matt has worked at Hart Shaw since 2001 in the business services department where he gained significant experience in accounts, auditing and other issues affecting businesses.

Matt is involved in the full range of services the Corporate Finance team has to offer including the preparation of financial forecasts and assisting with the fundraising process to facilitate merger acquisitions and disposals.

Natalie Jeffries

Natalie joined the Corporate Finance team in the summer of 2010 after originally joining Hart Shaw in 2004 working in the business services department specialising in working with SME businesses. Natalie is currently working towards her ICAEW qualifications.

Natalie supports the Corporate Finance team’s deal origination and research processes.
