Andrew Maybery FCA
Andrew is the senior partner of Hart Shaw. During 30 years with the firm he has worked as audit manager, audit partner and business advisor to a generation of clients. His interest in recovery situations started in the mid 1970’s and was an early licensee by ICAEW No. 203.
Outside the practice he is an executive director in an honorary capacity and has been involved with numerous charitable and not for profit bodies.
Andrew is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals. He is also worldwide treasurer of The International Association of Practicing Accountants of which the firm has long been a member. |

Paul Dawson FCA
Paul is the managing partner. He has significant experience in advising family businesses of all sizes and in particular at the important times of change.
His outside interests include skiing, playing golf, watching other sports and the odd glass of red wine!
Paul is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a member of their Audit Registration Committee. |

Martin McDonagh FCA
Martin joined Hart, Moss Copley and Co as a trainee in October 1979. After passing the Institutes Foundation Course at Sheffield Polytechnic 1982, Martin continued his studies and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987.
Martin became a partner at Hart Shaw in 1991. He is responsible for the Business Services Department dealing with unincorporate clients as well as the Payroll and Outsourcing departments. Martin also has a portfolio of corporate clients and acts as Finance partner with responsibility for HR within the firm.
Martin is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. |

Jonathan Robinson FCA
Jonathan trained and qualified with Shaw Dunk Styring and became a partner in 1988 merging with Hart Moss Copley in 1991 to form Hart Shaw.
Jonathan is one of two tax partners at Hart Shaw but also handles a range of business clients from sole traders to large family and limited companies and charitable trusts.
Jonathan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. |

Christopher Brown MIPA
Christopher joined the firm in 1992 having graduated with a Upper Second BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies. He became an associate of the firm in 2002 and a partner in 2004 and heads the Business Recovery and Insolvency Department.
Having trained as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner Christopher commenced taking Insolvency Appointments in January 2000 and has considerable experience in all areas of insolvency such as Liquidations, Administrations, Bankruptcies as well as negotiating Voluntary Arrangements for both Companies and Individuals.
Christopher is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals and is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Christopher and his wife have three young children. |

Martin Wharin FCA
Martin was educated in Rotherham and Sheffield and joined local practice Shaw Dunk Styring in 1979. He qualified in 1982 obtaining a National prize in the final exams.
He became a partner at Hart Shaw in 2004 and is responsible for the Corporate Business Services Department and Audit Regulations. He has over 25 years experience in the business environment and focuses mainly on limited company and LLP businesses. The specialist sectors he has advised are varied and include the motor trade, construction industry, engineering, solicitors, FSA registered businesses and charities.
Martin is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Martin is married with three children. |

Steve Vickers FCCA CTA ACA
Steve is the firm’s tax planning specialist. He has extensive tax planning experience working with both private clients and businesses on the tax implications of commercial transactions and corporate finance. Steve is heavily involved with business valuations.
He also advises on all aspects of personal, business, and employer taxation issues, capital and estate tax planning, implementation of share and option schemes and income and corporate tax planning.
Steve trained with a national firm and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1994 and is now a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has since become a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Chartered Accountant.
Steve joined Hart Shaw in 2003 and became a partner of the firm in 2007. He heads the firm’s expanding Tax Advisory Services and Property Advice Service.
Steve is married with three young children and lives in Sheffield. |

Chris Sellars ACA
Chris brings a broad range of experience to our corporate finance team. His time in industry and the banking sector allows him an unique insight when advising clients.
Chris joined Hart Shaw in 2005 and became a member of the firm in 2008.
Chris is married with two children and lives in Sheffield. He takes a very active part in sport, coaching football. |
