Sheffield City Region Breakfast Club

Tuesday 14th May 2019

Hart Shaw Chartered Accountants and Acumen Credit Insurance Brokers are delighted to announce the next Sheffield City Region Breakfast Club, which is taking place at the Advanced Manufacturing Park between 8:00am and 9:30am on Tuesday 14th May 2019.

The format of the meeting is open networking followed by a short discussion and Q&A session.

Apprenticeships Update

We will be joined by Lucy Parr, Managing Director of First Intuition Yorkshire.

It is now two years since companies starting paying the Apprenticeship Levy and there are still many misconceptions and grey areas around the topic.

Lucy will be providing an update on the world of Apprenticeships including changes to funding, eligibility to train as an apprentice, providing clarity around the 20% ‘off the job’ requirement and the benefits of training apprenticeships within your organisation. There will be a focus on Finance and Accountancy apprenticeships although the general principles being covered are transferable to all sectors.

Appropriate for organisations currently training apprentices or looking to start and also for those who pay the levy, have spent it all, have surplus unused levy or are a co-investing organisation.
