Audit & Advisory

At Hart Shaw we view the audit process as an opportunity to add value to our clients’ businesses – working closely with them to deliver risk-based audit services and valuable advice whilst complying with professional ethics and the highest technical quality.

Representing businesses of all sizes, we offer a range of independent and objective audits; providing our clients with an external review of their business to help identify potential internal and external risks - as well as expert guidance on minimising the impact.

Our expertise in assurance and advisory services includes: statutory and specialist audits; international financial reporting and auditing standards; expertise in pension scheme audits; ensuring that our clients comply with reporting requirements; and audits of businesses directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority - as well as assurance reports under the Landlords & Tenants Act for registered social landlords.

We are registered to carry out audit work by The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, which monitors the help we provide. Independent examiners from the UK200 Group of practicing accountants also regularly assess all of our client services.

US companies: Hart Shaw LLP is able to audit UK-based subsidiaries of US-owned companies, as it is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, a private sector, non-profit making corporation created by the Sarbanes Oxley Act 2002 to oversee the auditors of public companies.
